Spring Market Re-Cap

Spring Market Re-Cap

This past Saturday, just in time for Mother’s Day, we celebrated SPRING and our community of talented designers, makers, artists, and naturalists with our second ever market. With thunderstorms predicted all week we were a tad worried (it is May in NC after all)—but the sun showed her face and it thankfully turned out to be a truly gorgeous day. Below is a brief profile of the folks who sold their wares. Give them a follow on social media, and shop local!

CAT CALL COLLECTIVE: visit this previous blog post for more info on Becca. Our favorite items? The Vert & Vogue x Cat Call greeting cards, OUI OUI!

GREY GOODS STUDIO: uber talented Brooke has been blowing us away with her textiles since the first time we encountered her which begs the question can one have TOO many pillows?

SPARK METAL STUDIO: former architect Kathleen Dautel’s line of jewelry is much beloved by the RED family and in fact you’d be hard pressed to catch either of our Susan’s not wearing a piece on any given day.

JOYFUL ACRES: on her perfectly playful website Katie shares the following quote from Wendell Berry “The world is not given by our fathers but borrowed from our children”. We’re tea drinkers around here so we were destined to adore her entire line.

LIZ ALDAG: an absolute delight who creates endless smiles with her pottery, the “Mama Bird” coffee mug was snatched up quickly.

BUDDHA BEE APIARY: hey honey, can we have a bee box? Just offers a “host-a-hive” program and we’re happy to say that Sourwood flavor sold out realllllly quickly.

AN ORIJINAL LOOK: Raleigh maker Kate re-purposes stained and torn vintage kilim rugs into unique accessories that make stellar statement pieces for your capsule wardrobe. Check out her newest item, the colorfully adorned “market bag”.

CLAIRE ASHBY: with an outstanding breadth of work amongst various types of metalworking and jewelry-making, Claire’s imagination is clearly endless and with so much to offer our wishlist is as well!

ERICA GIMSON DESIGN: custom textiles is the name of her game but this time she joined us with bespoke cyanotype prints too. #Swoons

If you’re interested in being a part of our next market (pre-Holiday time), simply email [email protected] and tell us more about your products!
